FREE Virtual Outreach Sessions for Home Educators - Roman Archaeology Thursday

Roman Archaeology Thursday Returns!
If you missed Roman Archaeology Thursday in November, this popular session will be repeated especially for Home Educators this Spring!

In partnership with the AHRC-funded project Roman York Beneath the Streets, and the Universities of Cambridge and Reading, York Archaeology are hosting some free virtual outreach slots for home educating families to book on the theme of Roman archaeology.

Learn how archaeologists and researchers working on the project have come together to examine the range of Roman archaeology uncovered in the city over time. Find out how new technology is helping us make links between different finds to map out the city of Eboracum that lies buried under modern York and take a closer look at some of the archaeological evidence and historical sources they’ve uncovered.

These interactive sessions will be delivered live via Zoom, but if these times do not suit your schedule we are also offering an on-demand video version of each session to watch at your convenience.

Roman Archaeology Thursday - Key Stage 2 (ages 7-11)
Live session (45 minutes) - 14th March 2024, 11am
Recorded session (30 minutes) - 21st March 2024

Roman Archaeology Thursday - Key Stage 3 (ages 11-14)

All live sessions for home education families will take place on Zoom, and the connection is for one device only. Please note that these sessions are intended for under-18s only and a responsible adult must be present with each family connection throughout. By booking you agree to assume all responsibility for managing camera and microphone use.
