Virtual Viking Day for Home Educators - Thursday 13th March 2025 (SOLD OUT) & Tuesday 18th March 2025
Connect via Zoom with one of JORVIK's Viking residents to immerse yourself in tenth-century life! This full-day option comprises two 75-minute workshop sessions, with a break for lunch in between.
10:00 - 11:15 Vikings at Home: Houses, Hygiene and Hobbies
11:15 - 12:30 Screen break and free time for lunch
12:30 - 1:45 Vikings Out and About: Travel, Trade and Treasures
Each session includes live discussion with your friendly Viking host, a craft-along activity, quizzes and the chance to hotseat your Viking and ask everything you’ve ever wondered about life in the Viking age!
One session is £6 per connection, or book both using the full day option for £11.
This online experience is designed for learners aged 7-11.
Bookings will close on 6th March and we will then supply the joining link, written instructions for the activities and suggested resources to prepare (all paper-based, no costly craft materials necessary!) via email to all ticket holders.
All live sessions for home education families will take place on Zoom, and the connection is for one device only. Please note that these sessions are intended for under-18s only and a responsible adult must be present with each family connection throughout, and must agree to assume all responsibility for managing camera and microphone use.
