Social Handling Sessions
In collaboration with AgeUK, these social handling sessions are an excellent opportunity to meet like minded people whilst getting hands on with York's History.
These sessions combine creative discussion whilst getting up close and personal with some archaeological artefacts. Whether you're an archaeology novice or total expert, all are welcome.
These events are also ideal for anyone 65 years or older who enjoys meeting new people and chatting about shared interests whilst maybe even learning a new skill.
Date: 4th September, then 1st Wednesday of every month
Each session has different content:
Session 1 (Sept)- The Vikings in York
Session 2 (Oct)- The Romans in York
Session 3 (Nov)- Medieval York.
Time: 14.00 – 15.00 Cost: £3.00
Location: Barley Hall Coffee Shop (this takes place upstairs in the coffee shop, so please bear that in mind as this could present accessibility challenges).
