Medieval Mondays Virtual Outreach for Home Educators

Are you a home educator looking to bring history to life in your lessons? Our next virtual outreach session for home educators will be a special free Medieval Monday session.

Monday 7th July, 10:30 or 11:45 (45 minutes long)

Join one of our friendly Barley Hall servants to learn all about life in medieval York. Discover what life was like for both the family and the servants living in a prominent 15th-century townhouse, how they lived, worked and kept themselves healthy. Explore medieval attitudes to food, hygiene, health and medicine in this fun and interactive session suitable for learners working at Key Stage 2/3 level (ages 7-14).

Attendance for home educating families is free but places are limited, so make sure to book early. You will receive further information about how to join the live session one week before the session takes place. Please note that live sessions are not recorded.

All sessions for home education families will take place on Zoom, and the connection is for one device only. Please note that these sessions are intended for under-18s only and a responsible adult must be present with each family connection throughout, and must agree to assume all responsibility for managing camera and microphone use.
