Cressida Cowell’s How to Train Your Dragon School
Cressida Cowell’s How to Train Your Dragon School
DIG summer exhibition - YA staff and Visit York members event
21st July 16.30 - 20.00
By now you may well have heard the rumour that we have a really exciting new exhibition coming to DIG in the summer.
From 21st July we’ll be inviting DIG visitors to voyage to the Isle of Berk and into the world of Cressida Cowell’s How to Train Your Dragon School. And, from 16.30 the same day we’re inviting all staff members and their children to come and do the same.
We don’t want to give too much away as we want you to experience it for yourself but you can expect to see Windwalker upon arrival, The Hopeful Puffin Mark 4, Hiccup’s bedroom tent and a brand new dig pit. The exhibition has a number of interactive elements, guided by characters from the book such as Hiccup, Old Wrinkly, Gobber the Belch and Camaczi and with video content from Cressida Cowell.
Collections and Archives have also done a brilliant job in selecting finds to complement this exhibition and add the all-important archaeological context.
So, with all that said, we'd love to invite you to come along, with your family, and see for yourself.
Doors will be open from 16.30 - 20.00 21st July at DIG. Please book one of the following timeslots, in advance:
